FHS BANDS WEEKLY NEWSLETTER
September 9-16, 2018
Mon-Thurs, September 10-13: After-school rehearsal at FHS, 3:30-6pm
Thursday, September 13: Band Booster Meeting at FHS, 7 pm
Saturday, September 15: Volunteer Opportunity, 9 am in the band room SUG
Dear Band Family,
It was so nice to meet many of you on Back to School Night. The support and active participation of parents in their students’ lives truly makes a difference!
As a reminder, we have an additional rehearsal on Monday, September 10 from 3:30–6pm. Anticipate being outside, & dress appropriately (old shoes, a rain jacket, possibly warmer clothes). Even in the event of inclement weather, we can use this time to prepare our music to make the marching easier! Students with unavoidable conflicts or religious holidays (Shanah tovah!) are excused.
Looking forward to another great week!

Fairfax High School

2018 Instrument Inventory Day! Saturday, September 15, 9am:
Calling all students & parents: Are you looking for another/different way to volunteer? Do you like to organize & catalog? Do you need volunteer hours? Does your student play a school-owned instrument? We need you! Mr. B is leading an instrument inventory in the band room.
Here is a list of what will be on the agenda:

The Marching Rebels perform at half-time at the home football games on Fridays & at 4 competitions on Saturdays. Many volunteers are needed & there are a variety of volunteer gigs to suit your schedule, personality, & skills. We've created this Marching Band Season Sign Up Genius which covers all the football games for the 2018 season in chronological order. Yes, it's a long list, but please look through the SUG to see if there is a volunteer slot or donation that suits you.
