What is Tag Day?

Tag Day is one of the most meaningful traditions of the Fairfax High School Band Program. Each September, our talented student musicians and enthusiastic volunteers fan out across the Fairfax community to ask for support. It’s more than a fundraiser...it’s a day of connection, pride, and school spirit, as students share their love for music with neighbors who help make their journey possible.

Why Tag Day Matters
 

The money we raise on Tag Day fuels the heart of our band program. Your generous donations directly support:

• Instruments: Help us purchase new instruments and keep our current inventory in great shape so every student can perform at their best.

• Uniforms and Equipment: Your support ensures we look sharp and sound strong, whether we’re marching on the field or performing on stage.

• Travel and Competitions: Donations help cover travel costs so our band can represent Fairfax High School at regional and national events...experiences that build skills, memories, and friendships.

• Instruction and Clinics: We bring in expert clinicians and provide specialized instruction to enhance our students’ musical growth.

• Scholarships: We believe every student deserves the opportunity to participate fully, regardless of financial circumstances. Your support helps make that possible.
